General Manager – Retail Store

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee operations of a high-traffic retail store at Dubai International Airport. In this role, you will ensure operational excellence, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and drive commercial performance. You will lead a multicultural team and collaborate with airport authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and compliant operation. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily store operations, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for travelers.
- Oversee P&L, sales performance, budgets, and operational reporting.
- Ensure compliance with DAFM requirements, airport pass procedures, and aviation security protocols.
- Lead recruitment, training, and development of a multicultural team.
- Manage inventory, POS systems, stock reconciliation, and replenishment cycles.
- Collaborate with airport authorities, suppliers, and internal departments to optimize operations.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and efficiency.
- Maintain store presentation, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Work flexible hours based on flight schedules.
What We’re Looking For:
- Managerial experience in retail, hospitality, or airport operations.
- Strong understanding of airport protocols, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management/POS systems.
- UAE or GCC experience preferred; Arabic or Russian language skills are an advantage.
