Junior Finance Executive
Location: Dubai | European Company
Role Overview
As a finance executive, you will oversee accounts receivables, ensure timely premium collections, manage broker commissions, and support financial reporting. You will play a key role in streamlining processes within the new insurance core system.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts receivables master report, ensuring accurate tracking of collections, broker commissions, and refunds.
- Oversee timely premium collections, ensuring compliance with credit terms for both direct clients and brokers.
- Prepare and present weekly AR aging and collection reports for management insights.
- Maintain consistent communication via email and phone to ensure efficient collections.
- Record and reconcile all receipts (premium, HAAD, and non-AR) while ensuring accurate broker commission processing.
- Process premium refunds in line with internal policies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards, including documentation of agreements, VAT certificates, tax invoices, and licenses.
- Issue manual debit and credit notes for AR-related transactions.
- Assist in monthly closings, account reconciliations, and support audits.
- Manage petty cash, ensuring secure handling and proper approvals.
- Support operations with manual invoice issuance and month-end sales invoice bookings.
- Utilize Microsoft Business Central (MBC) for financial functions and drive process improvements.
- Assist the head of finance with additional tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
- Solid experience in accounts receivable management
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS 17 (preferred)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with MBC or similar ERP systems
- Excellent communication and financial reporting skills
