Manager – Data Privacy & Cyber Security (Arabic Speaker Preferred)

About the Role:
Moon Human Talents is seeking an experienced Manager – Data Privacy & Cyber Security for a client in Dubai. This role involves leading data privacy initiatives, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with international and regional regulations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership and technical expertise in data protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute data privacy projects, including gap assessments, audits, strategy development, and framework implementation.
- Develop and enhance policies, procedures, and templates in compliance with data protection laws and industry standards.
- Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage privacy workflows for issue identification, investigation, and resolution.
- Provide expert guidance on international and local data protection regulations (ISO 27701, GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NDMO, etc.).
- Oversee third-party privacy reviews and audits.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of project deliverables.
- Engage in stakeholder communication, client presentations, and project documentation.
- Support project management activities, including status updates and reporting.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Participate in business development efforts, including proposal writing.
Expertise & Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of data privacy frameworks, impact assessments, and compliance requirements.
- Strong experience with data protection tools, including data discovery, classification, encryption, loss prevention, and digital rights management.
- Familiarity with industry-leading privacy management solutions is an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
- Minimum 9 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or risk management, preferably within consulting or Big 4 firms.
- Proven track record in conducting privacy assessments, audits, and risk management initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken, read, and written) is required.
Certifications (Minimum two required):
- CIPT, CIPM, CIPP/E/US
- ISO 27701 Lead Auditor/Implementer
- CISSP
- CDPSE
- DCPP
- CISM
