About the Role

As the Rental Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing an efficient and profitable rental and used equipment sales business. You will lead a team to achieve revenue targets, optimize inventory management, and strengthen customer relationships while ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve revenue, profit, and ROI targets.
  • Manage financial performance, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Optimize rental fleet utilization to maximize profitability.

Sales & Customer Relations

  • Drive market leadership through strategic rental and used equipment sales.
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Provide support in resolving customer queries and improving service quality.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive pricing, and customer demands.

Operations & Inventory Management

  • Ensure efficient inventory management and availability of rental equipment.
  • Monitor equipment condition, storage, and security to maintain operational standards.
  • Oversee the rental fleet, ensuring effective performance and insurance coverage.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and support team to achieve high performance.
  • Develop succession planning strategies and recruit top talent.
  • Conduct training programs to enhance team competency and efficiency.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales, inventory, and market analysis for senior management.
  • Collaborate with accounts and service teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in rental operations, sales, or equipment management.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and sales forecasting tools is an advantage.
