IT Systems Engineer

As the IT Systems Engineer, you will manage our company’s servers and server infrastructure. This hands-on role is crucial for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our IT systems. By leading key projects and proactively managing servers, you’ll help ensure our digital environment remains secure and efficient. Reporting to the Director of Global IT Infrastructure, you will play a key role in advancing global IT initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the reliability, stability, and security of enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain server management standards and secure baselines.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage servers globally, including cloud environments.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols for server infrastructure.
  • Conduct security audits and address vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain global server inventory and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor and optimize server performance and configurations.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for server issues.
  • Develop and test backup, recovery, and continuity processes.
  • Assist with Microsoft Dynamics security and troubleshooting.
  • Support system integrations and manage SQL server environments.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks.
  • Document server configurations and procedures.
  • Lead or contribute to server-related projects, including upgrades and migrations.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with and train team members on new technologies and best practices.
  • Hybrid-remote position with occasional onsite support and potential travel.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in systems and infrastructure management.
  • Expertise in managing physical and virtual server infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure IaaS).
  • Strong knowledge of server security principles and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and automation tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SQL Server environments.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications (Azure Admin, MCSA, MCSE, CISSP) preferred.
