About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chef de Partie to join the team at this new resort. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes as instructed by the Sous Chef or Chef De Cuisine.
  • Assisting the Chef de Cuisine / Sous Chef in the daily preparation and service of food, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
  • Actively managing all aspects of the section and delegating tasks to junior kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the allocated kitchen section to the expected quality standards.
  • Ensuring that the designated section, equipment, and utensils are always kept clean and tidy in adherence to the restaurant's standards.
  • Following correct hygienic food handling practices and the restaurant’s regular cleaning and waste disposal procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others and supporting the team to achieve common goals.
  • Ensuring adherence to departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to deliver luxurious service to guests in line with the standards of excellence.
  • Complying with all relevant Health, Safety, and Environment procedures, Fire and Safety instructions, controls, and audit requirements in line with HACAP and standard operating procedures.
  • Performing related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed necessary.
  • Managing service during busy periods and, in the absence of senior chefs, overseeing the kitchen to ensure all standards and quality procedures are adhered to.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Progressive experience in an a la carte restaurant, preferably in the same role, with a focus on high-end restaurants or luxury hospitality brands.
  • Skilled in a diverse array of culinary techniques and cooking methods, with preferred international experience in Mediterranean or Italian cuisine.
  • Formal culinary training or relevant education from a recognized culinary institute.
