About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at this luxurious new resort. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Gathering, measuring, mixing, and preparing meal ingredients, sauces, and seasoning. Washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, fruits, and meat as applicable.
  • Preparing dishes such as salads and sauces with attention to finer details and exquisite presentation.
  • Ensuring that food items are stocked properly in refrigerators and freezers.
  • Documenting inventory of kitchen supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock situations.
  • Following daily ingredient collection and storage protocols, ensuring all areas of the kitchen are maintained and cleaned according to established standards.
  • Working according to specifications received from the culinary team regarding portion size, quantity, and quality as outlined in the recipe index.
  • Attending daily meetings with the Demi Chef | Chef De Partie and other meetings as requested by the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
  • Reporting equipment failures to the Demi Chef | Chef De Partie, following up to ensure necessary work is completed.
  • Ensuring adherence to departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to deliver luxurious service to guests in line with the standard of excellence.
  • Complying with all relevant Health, Safety, and Environment procedures, instructions, controls, and audit requirements in compliance with HACCP and standard operating procedures.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a luxury 5-star hotel or restaurant.
  • Prior work experience in Dubai is preferred.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English.
