 About the Job:

We are seeking a diligent Linen Room Attendant to ensure all areas of the Linen Room are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and upkeep. This role, supervised by the Housekeeping Manager and Laundry Manager, adheres to company policies and procedures to ensure maximum guest and colleague satisfaction.

  • Sort used linen from guest rooms.
  • Organize and arrange linen neatly on department shelving.
  • Assist with counting and auditing clean linen.
  • Oversee the quality and control of colleague uniforms sent out for cleaning.
  • Correctly log all uniforms sent out.
  • Follow and enforce agreed standards, procedures, and presentations.
  • Check and correct guest laundry and dry cleaning items against guest lists, recording them on daily sheets.
  • Ensure in-house washed or pressed items meet agreed presentation standards.
  • Operate machinery safely and economically.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the valet area.
  • Handle lost property and guest items following correct procedures.
  • Attend regular departmental communication meetings.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Update linen room records accurately.
  • Maintain all equipment and report malfunctions to maintenance.

About You:

  • Fully aware of work schedule, providing adequate notice if unable to adhere.
  • Promptly report incidents, complaints, suspicious persons, or safety hazards.
  • Exercise strict control when receiving and returning keys.
  • Punctually report for duty in correct uniform, maintaining high personal appearance and hygiene standards.
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  • Understand and adhere to hotel rules, particularly policies related to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
  • Comply with local legislation as required.
  • Adapt to departmental changes as needed by industry, company, or hotel demands.
  • Be flexible and take on reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned, including redeployment to other areas if necessary.
  • Attend training and meetings as required.
  • Assist in maximizing departmental productivity.
